FAVORITE YOUTUBERS (SKINCARE VLOGGERS)

NOTE: I checked the ingredients of skincare products at @skin carisma website.

YOUTUBERS WHO'S SKINCARE RECOMMENDATIONS I SOMEWHAT TRUST:

PINOY:

@THE SKIN SENSEI - He's a dermatologist and so far he hasn't recommended any product with ingredients that my skin hated (by experience).

YOUTUBERS WHO'S SKINCARE RECOMMENDATIONS I WANT TO TRUST BUT AM HESITATING TO DO SO:

PINOY:

@JOHNREYSLIFE - I like his brutally honest reviews but just because he's honest doesn't make the product also work for my skin. Actually he made me buy the Luxxe Organix Cica Rescue Line and I BROKE out. I am sensitive to skincare with fragrance but I insisted on using the Cica line because he recommended it. I should have listened to my skin FIRST. I also bought the Oxecure Acne Potion which is also one of his recommended acne solution. I still have to check if that product works on me.

@JAN ANGELO - I like his minimalist approach to skincare. But he did something that made me doubt his credibility when he recommended BREYLEE Retinol Cream from a shopee supplier that sells the product at a very low price. After checking out the product from the official Breylee website, I found out it was 400% more expensive than the one sold on shopee. Malamang fake yung sa shopee. Exagerrated masyado ang 'cheap' price eh. He also recommended the Iwhite Korea moisturizer to think he is someone who preached about going fagrance-free. When I purchased it, I realized it has PARFUM in the ingredients. I am sensitive to fragrance in skincare.Nakulangan siguro sya sa research. hehe

FOREIGN:

@HYRAM - He always raves about cerave. But Cerave has PARABENS.

@DR DRAY - A dermatologist who also raves about products with parabens

Things I regret not doing in my 20s

1) Not wearing fashionable outfits that fits my age (20s)

I was very stingy. But now that I reach the age of 31 I realized I only lived once. And there are so many fashionable outfits I can surely rock had I not been sleeping on them in my 20s. Now I really wanted to wear them but wearing them would scream age-inappropriate. I wish I had worn them when I was younger.

I am not into revealing clothes and this was the main reason why I never followed what's in in the past. I only realized there are way too many fashionable and trendy outfits that does not reveal skin. my bad

2) Not cultivating friendships that will last a lifetime.

I don't have strong ties with my current friends. The friends I have right now are just temporary. It's not their fault. It was my choice not to invest feelings and time. My traumatic experience from high school left a deep scar that I am still having a hard time being vulnerable towards the friends I have had after high school. I was deeply hurt in the past. Now it is really hard for me to trust somebody completely. There were so many friends I had shut out from my life. They must have been puzzled why I did so. They must have hated or resented me. I am sorry towards them. But I can't muster the courage to personally apologize .

The friends I have right now don't prepare surprises for me. I can't even invite them to go on a trip with me. Still, it's all my fault. Because I never let them feel my availability. I am only available when I feel like it. Though they wanted to spend time, I only spend time with them when I feel convenient.

1 minute witness

What is the best thing that has ever happened to you?
Can I share with you the best thing that has ever happened to me?
I was bitter and fearful. Living an empty life. Until somebody shared to me how Jesus loves me and gave his life for me so I could live a full, purpose-driven life.
